Yellow mesh sea star

Scientific name : Nardoa novaecaledoniae

Sea star with 5 conical arms, with diameter gradually lowering from the base to a thin tip. Pink arm tips, the central part is covered with orange, yellow and white plates, giving the star a mosaic pattern. 20 cm diameter.
Encountered in the back reef and reef front.
Identified from Nardoa galatheae by the colour, from Nardoa tuberculata by the missing tubercles.
