Urchin siphonfish

Scientific name : Siphamia versicolor


A quite small fish (maximum length: 7,0 cm), brown with two bright yellow, thick stripes on its sides, is almost exclusively found in small groups among the spines of diaem sea urchins, in sheltered and shallow waters.

Associated organisms
Astropyga radiata and other Echinoidea


Habitat: Coastal bay, Lagoon, Sand, Seagrass beds

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific
