Scientific name : Trachinocephalus myops

Found over sandy bottoms of deep outer reef slopes. Common in estuaries , often burrow into substrate, leaving eyes exposed. When disturbed, it may swim a short distance but quickly buries itself again. Feed on fishes and small crustaceans
