Slender cardinalfish

Scientific name : Rhabdamia gracilis


The body of this small fish is usually transparent, occasionally with a black blotch on the caudal peduncle or at the tip of the caudal lobes. Generally translucent, with a base pink-whitish color with a silvery head.
It lives in lagoons and coastal reefs, among rocks and corals. It formsa large schools; feeds on zooplankton and small benthic invertebrates, during the day in currents above reefs as well as at night.


Habitat: Lagoon, Reef

Distribution: Indo-Pacific
