Scissor tail sergeant

Scientific name : Abudefduf sexfasciatus

Oval, silvery body, with 5 vertical black bands. V shaped tail with 2 obvious black lines. 17 cm. Living along the reef front and external reef, down to 15 m depth, or in lagoon. It is a Plankton feeder, living in shoals, swimming even to a certain distance from the reef. Very similar to Abudefduf vaigiensis, immediately distinguished by the tail colour pattern.
