Schultz's pipefish

Scientific name : Corythoichthys schultzi


Maximum lenght 16 cm, it is a crawling pipe fish, always in contact with the bottom. White colour with longitudinal brown lines along the sides and orange spots along the dorsal ridges. Very long snout.
Distinguishable from the other Corythoichthys for the colour and mainly for the longer snout.
Male incubates the eggs stuck along the belly, protected by a lateral skin expansion covering them.

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific
