Saw blade shrimp

Scientific name : Tozeuma sp.


Extremely elongated shrimp. Rostrum is twice the carapace lenght, and about 1/3 of the total lenght. It has teeth on the lower part (from here the popular name). The abdomen hump has a spine turned backward. Orange colour. 4 cm.
Many Tozeuma species, all with elongated shape and the typical rostrum, are still undescribed.

With seaweeds.


Habitat: Coastal bay, Lagoon
