Sand prawn

Scientific name : Metapenaeus sp. 1


Transparent prawn, with elongated body, rostrum longer than eyes (large and blue-green). Irregular red bands. Long and flexible antennae. 10 cm.
Encountered at night, on sandy bottoms, in bay.
Distinguished from Metapenaeopsis sp. by the longer rostrum and by the colour pattern.
