Regal damsel

Scientific name : Neopomacentrus cyanomos


Elongated damsel fish, grey colour with a reticulated pattern, white or yellow posterior part of the dorsal, anal and caudal fins. A dark spot behind the gill operculum, a white spot at the basis of the dorsal fin, in its back part. 10 cm. A Plankton feeder. Easy to identify due to the elongated shape.


Habitat: Coastal bay, Lagoon, Reef external slope

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific
