Reef comb star

Scientific name : Asteropsis carinifera

Star with 5 arms, mottled brown colour. A row of spines all around the arms, another row along the median line of each arm. 10 cm diameter.
Encountered at night, on reef front and back reef.
Possible confusion with the genus Astropecten. The species belonging to the latter have spines all around the arms but never on the upper part.
