Redstripe Anthias

Scientific name : Pseudanthias fasciatus


Anthias with a longitudinal red stripe on the body, starting from gill's opening until the caudal peduncle. Mainly above massive formations of corals, where they hide if they feel harassed. Easily distinguishable from the red longitudinal stripe on the body.

Associated organisms
Possibly mixed with other anhias species.


Habitat: Lagoon, Reef external slope

Distribution: Indo-Australian Archipelago, Red sea
