Red snapping shrimp
Scientific name : Alpheus bisincisus
Reddish colour, with white leg's joints. Claws are strongly asymmetrical, the larger can produce a strong snapping sound. 3.5 cm
Found in bay or in lagoon, usually below sponges or stones. This species is not burrowing, unlike most of the species belonging to this family.
Belonging to Alpheus edwardsii species complex, characterized by the larger claw strongly developed. The reddish colour is distinctive toward other Alpheus species.
