Radial file fish

Scientific name : Acreichthys radiatus


Small file fish, white and brown with irregular blotches and lines. Radial lines around the eye, vertical toward the tail. Many skin flaps on the body and spine. 7 cm. The colour pattern with radial lines around the eye, vertical toward the tail is a diagnostic toward other species, living in the same environment (like Rudarius minutus).

Associated organisms
Always associated with gorgonians and soft corals, among which it hides.


Habitat: Reef external slope, Reef front

Distribution: Western Pacific
