Paron shrimp

Scientific name : Gelastocaris paronae

Impressive camouflage, this shrmp is literally melted with its host sponge. If you cannot see it, observe carefully the shadows. Pink orange in colour, the body surface has decorations that recall the sponge's spicules. Flattened body adhaeres perfectly to the host. 2,5 cm.

With different sponge species. We always observed it with Axinella sp.
