Orange urn ascidian

Scientific name : Didemnum cf. moseleyi

Small colonies (1-2 cm diameter) often very abundant, in shape of flattened urn. Highly variable colour, from bright red to orange to yellow. Rare species, can be seen on reef front and along the external reef, often in caves or crevices. Other didemnids, with small sub spherical colonies, are similar. We are not completely sure about our identification, the colonies photographed in this page could belong to different undescribed species.
