Orange anemone fish

Scientific name : Amphiprion sandaracinos


Brilliant orange, with a longitudinal white stripe along the back, from the upper lip to tha tail basis. 13 cm. A. akallopisos, Indian Ocean species, has dorsal stripe that does not reach the upper lip. Amphiprion perideraion is more pink and has a thin vertical band on the gills operculum.

Associated organisms
Obligate association with the sea anemones Stichodactyla mertensii and Heteractis crispa (association never observed in our area).
