Nurse sharks
Scientific name : Ginglymostomatidae
Large sharks charachterized by barbels on the snout. This probably is the reason of the name, nurse coming from nusse, anciently used for the catfish. One of the few large sharks, together with the reef white tip Trianeodon obesus, capable of standing perfectly still, pumping water through the mouth and the spiracle (a small hole behind the eye) for breathing.
