Marbled star gazer

Scientific name : Uranoscopus sulphureus

Typical star gazer, with large flattened head, fringed lips. Brown colour with a marbled pattern and scattered spots, the first dorsal fin is black. White margin of all the fins. 35 cm.
Encountered on sandy bottoms, in bay or lagoon. It is a catch for trawling fisherman, from deeper sandy bottoms, not visited by divers.
The dark first dorsal fin and the white margins, are good diagnostics to distinguish this from other Uranoscopus species.
