Lysiosquilla tredecimdentata

Scientific name : Lysiosquilla tredecimdentata


Large spearer, grey with light bands. Large oval eyes. Normally the male looks out from U shaped burrows. 28 cm. It can dig its U shaped burrow. An ambush predator on fish and crustaceans.
Compared with Lysiosquillina maculata, has smaller antennal scale and almost uniformly coloured eyes.


Habitat: Back reef, Coastal bay, Lagoon, Sand

Distribution: Western Pacific
