Lemon damsel

Scientific name : Pomacentrus moluccensis


Small, bright yellow, damsel with blue lines on the head and fins. A small black spot at the pectoral fin basis. 7 cm. Often associated with branching corals, among whose branches can hide if threatened. Possible confusion with P. amboinensis, less bright in colour and with a larger spot at the pectoral fin basis. P. sulfureus, very similar, lives in the Indian Ocean.
