Japanese file fish
Scientific name : Paramonacanthus japonicus
Marbled brown species, highly variable, often with a large brown blotch in the upper side. Straight snout profile in the male, slightly concave in the female. 10 cm. Possible confusion with a group of brown species living in the same environment: Paramonacanthus curtorhynchus, Pseudomonacanthus peroni, Pseudomonacanthus macrurus. The snout profile is different in P. curtorhynchus.
