Isis hippurus
Scientific name : Isis hippurus
Bushy colonies, irregularly branched, smooth cylindrical branches. The thick coenenchyme covers a central axis with brown nodes and white, calcareous, internodes. Branches arise approximately at right angle to curve upward, with a candelabrum pattern. Small and dense polyps, bright yellow coloured like the coenenchyme, completely retractile. 60 cm. Rumphella have similar colonies but the bright yellow colour of Isis is typical.
