Icon sea star

Scientific name : Iconaster longimanus

Beautiful sea star with flattened body and 5 thin arms. Large marginal plates, dark and light brown in colour (in a random pattern). The upper disk plates are smaller, burnt orange colour. 12 cm diameter.
Encountered along the deep reef, in rubble areas.
Unique.
