Hydroid shrimp

Scientific name : Periclimenes galene

Transparent shrimp, with broken black and white longitudinal and diagonal lines, reproducing the pattern of the host hydroid. Long rostrum, transparent legs and claws. 2.5 cm.
The lined pattern is a good diagnostic versus other transparent Periclimenes (see Periclimenes psamathe and Periclimenes sp. 1).

Always associated with hydroids, in our photos with Lytocarpia sp.
