Hydroid crab
Scientific name : Hyastenus bispinosus
Small decorator crab, with oval carapace and forked rostrum, light brown to pink colour with irregular stripes, often decorated with hydroids. Carapace lenght 2 cm.
Similar to Naxioides taurus (another species with forked rostrum), but the latter is larger and with longer legs.
Associated organisms With different hydroid species, on which it lives (at least at night) and that uses for camouflage. In our photos it is on Aglaophenia cupressina.
