Hearth urchin

Scientific name : Eurypatagus ovalis


Irregular urchin with long, soft, spines uniformly distributed. Beige colour. Oval shape. 5 cm.
It lives hidden under the sand, in bay and lagoon. It can be seen at night, crowling outside. The specimen in the photo crawled on a hard coral (Symphyllia sp.).
Distinguished by the long spines, and by the colour from Maretia planulata.
