Hawk Anthias

Scientific name : Serranocirrhitus latus


Orange or deep pink, with small orange spots on scales and two yellow stripes starting from the eye to the pectoral fin. Solitary or in small aggregations along the external reef; often lives in small caves between 15 and 70 meters of depth. Easily distinguishable by the typical body shape and the orange spots on the scales.


Habitat: Reef external slope

Distribution: Indo-Pacific
