Harlequin grouper

Scientific name : Cephalopholis polleni


A quite big grouper (maximum length: 43,0 cm), it shows a green base color, which turns to yellow near the caudal peduncle, with many horizontal blue stripes on body and fins.
It can be found mostly at oceanic islands, in clear waters of steep slopes, rarely in less than 30 m. It can also be seen in caves and crevices.


Habitat: Deep reef

Distribution: Indo-Pacific
