Hairy seahorse

Scientific name : Hippocampus cf. kuda

Specimen photographed in Manado Bay, about 12 cm long, with many scattered skin filaments. Hippocampus kuda is normally brown, maximum 15 cm long, and has skin filaments only on the snout. Anyway in other seahorses species it is well known that skin filaments can be more or less abundant or completely missing depending on the environment where the animal lives.
