Guitarfishes
Scientific name : Rhinobatidae
Guitarfishes owe their name to the peculiar shape of their bodies, similar to that of a guitar or an elongated ray. They can be found in tropical, sub-tropical and temperate seas.
They can be quite big, even reaching three metres in length, often live in large schools and are ovoviviparous: their young hatch from egg kept in the mother's womb.
