Golden sergeant
Scientific name : Amblyglyphidodon aureus
High, oval body shape. Golden yellow colour, with blue markings on head and fins. 14 cm. A Plankton feeder, living along the external reef, to a maximum depth of 45 m. Eggs are laid on the bare skeleton of the basal part of living wire coral colonies (Cirrhipates spp.). The male guards the eggs.The colour is unique, similar to that of Chromis analis, the latter being more brownish and elongate in shape.
