Flabellina exoptata
Scientific name : Flabellina exoptata
Aeolidacea with purple body, orange rhinophores covered with fine papillae, beautiful expanded cerata with purple ring and cream tip. 3 cm. Similar to other Flabellina species, the purple ring and cream tip on the cerata are distinctive.
Like in other Flabellina species, the nematocysts of the preys (hydroids) are stored into the cerata (in which blind tracts of the intestines are), and used as defense against predators.
Associated organisms With Eudendrium hydroids, that eats and uses for eggs deposition.
