Faxon's shrimp

Scientific name : Solenocera faxoni


Shrimp with a very long and upward rostrum. Transparent pink colour, with a pattern of red and yellow stripes, large eyes. 12 cm.
Encountered occasionally on sandy bottoms, in bay, at night, but more often solenocerid shrimps are found on deep bottoms, down to 5700 m.
Colour and rostrum are very distinctive.
