Fat star

Scientific name : Thromidia catalai

Large sea star with 5 cylindrical arms, ending in a conical point. Pinkish colour with scattered papillae. The arm tip fading in a dark orange colour. 50 cm diameter.
Encountered along the deep reef.
Superficially resembling Choriaster granulatus, the latter smaller and with light arm tips.
