Scientific name : Euplexaura
Colonies are usually planar, fan shaped, not richly branched. Main and secondary branches have similar diameter. The terminal branchlets rise from the main branch more or less at right angle and then bend upward. Highly variable colour, white, grey, yellow, pink, red, orange, brown. Large polyps, completely retractile in the coenenchime. 1 m. Easy to identify due to the branches shape.
Associated organisms With parasitic ovulids and commensal gobies.
