Electric rays

Scientific name : Torpediniformes

Electric rays (order Torpediniformes) are known for their ability of producing electric discharges up to 220 volts. They are quite similar to rays, though a lot more rounded, and their pectoral fins are less developed.
Skilled swimmers, their disc-like body lets them roam freely or remain suspended in the water with minimal effort. More, their grey colour provides them a good cover on the sandy bottoms.
