Elbow crab
Scientific name : Harrovia elegans
Small polygonal crab, with forked rostrum. Long angulate claws. Striped white and brown colour, usually lighter in the small specimens, darker in the large ones. Carapace lenght 3 cm.
Easily identified by the shape. Crinoids can host also another crab Parthenopidae sp. and the squat lobster Allogalathea elegans, both having single rostrum.
Associated organisms With featherstars of the genera Comaster and Comanthus.
