Duskytailed cardinalfish

Scientific name : Archamia macroptera


A small (maximum length: 9,0 cm), uncospicuous fish, it shows an olive-silvery background color, with a black blotch on the caudal peduncle.
It lives in lagoons, on fringe and rocky reefs, with sandy or rubble bottoms, in rather clear waters. It forms aggregations among branching corals, sometimes with fish of the same genera.


Habitat: Back reef, Lagoon

Distribution: Western Pacific
