Dick's damsel

Scientific name : Plectroglyphidodon dickii


Light brown damsel, with a sharp black band toward the posterior end. White back part and tail. 10 cm. It is a territorial species feeding mainly on algae. Plectroglyphidodon johnstonianus has a similaro colour pattern, but with a larger and more diffuse black band. Also the colour pattern of Chromis retrofasciata is similar, but the latter is smaller and lives in shoals.

Associated organisms
Associated with Acropora and Pocillopora corals with large branches.
