Devil rays
Scientific name : Mobulidae
That of devil rays is a well-known family. Their shape is quite similar to that of a common ray, with large pectoral fins used to move and a long and narrow tail. They feed on plankton and small fish, which are filtered through their gills, while keeping their mouth wide open. At each side of their mouth are placed two big fleshy lobes, derived from pectoral fins.
They are curious, and their brain is quite big, compared to their body. They are usually kept clean by small wrasses and angelfishes on the reef.
