Decorator crab

Scientific name : Cyclocoeloma sp.


Small decorator crab, carapace with large blunt spines, usually competely covered with sponges. Relatively short legs, but often it is difficult to identify the shape of the crab, only the eyes appear. Carapace lenght 3 cm.
Symilar for shape to Cyclocoeloma tuberculata, the latter being usually covered with anemones, and with a typical legs banding.

Associated organisms
Obviously with the sponges it uses for hiding, growing on its carapace and legs.


Habitat: Back reef, Coastal bay, Lagoon

Distribution: North Sulawesi
