Crinoid shrimp

Scientific name : Periclimenes tenuis


Transparent colour in the upper part of the body and in the legs, the lower body is yellow with longitudinal stripes.Another yellow stripe along the middle of the back. Small claws. Thin rostrum, with teeth on the upper side. 1 cm.

Mainly for the host, confusion is possible with Periclimenes cf. amboinensis or Periclimenes ceratophtalmus.The transparent colour, the lifted tail, the rostrum, are not typical of the Periclimenes spp.

Associated organisms
Associated with different crinoid species.


Habitat: Coastal bay

Distribution: Indo-West Pacific
