Collector urchin
Scientific name : Pseudoboletia indiana
Short spined urchin, spines are white and uniformly distributed. Test diameter 8 cm.
Uncommon, it lives in bay and lagoon, on sandy or rubble bottoms. It likes to cover itself with rubble and detritus.
Identified from Pseudoboletia maculata by the uniform white colour, from Salmacis belli by the thicker spines.
