Bull crab
Scientific name : Naxioides taurus
Decorator crab, with long legs, oval carapace with a long furked rostrum, made up with 2 slightly curved spines. Brown body, marbled legs. Carapace lenght 4 cm.
SImilar to Hyastenus bispinosus, other species with furked rostrum but smaller and with shorter legs.
Associated organisms Often seen in association with gorgonians, sponges, hydroids, black coral. It uses hydroids or black coral to decorate itself, especially on the rostrum.
