Blue boxer shrimp

Scientific name : Stenopus tenuirostris


Very long claws, held in a typical enlarge posture. Body covered with short bristles. Typical banded pattern on claws and abdomen, with red-white and yellow bands. Blue carapace, blue eggs (in the above photo a female with eggs). 2 cm.
Not easy to see, it hides under stones in bay, lagoon, back reef.
Well identified by the blue carapace and the typical banding from other Stenopus species.

Associated organisms
It is probably a cleaner.
