Black banded damsel

Scientific name : Amblypomacentrus breviceps


Elongated shape, tall fin, white-yellowish background with a black band over the eye and 2 black saddles on the back. 7 cm. In our area is clearly identified by shape and colour. Similar to Chrysiptera rapanui, species of Kermadec and Easter Is.

Associated organisms
Often making its nest on sponges or seagrasses.


Habitat: Coastal bay, Lagoon, Sand
