Bicolor chromis

Scientific name : Chromis margaritifer


Black anterior part of the body, white tail, caudal peduncle and soft part of dorsal and anal fins. 9 cm. A Plankton feeder living in shoals along the reef front and external reef. Other Chromis species share the same colour pattern, dark with white tail (Chromis xanthura , Chromis caudalis)). The former is not as black, the latter has a blue spot at the pectoral fin axil.


Habitat: Reef external slope, Reef front

Distribution: Western Pacific
