Bicolor angel fish

Scientific name : Centropyge bicolor


Small angel fish with a very typical colour pattern, yellow anterior part and tail, blue posterior. Vertical blue line over the eye. 15 cm. Never far away from its hole. Feeding mostly on algae. The colour pattern is distinctive. Possible confusion with Centropyge joculator, endemic species from Cocos-Keeling and Christmas islands, with no blue line over the eye.


Habitat: Back reef, Lagoon

Distribution: Western Pacific
