Bartel's dragonet

Scientific name : Synchiropus bartelsi


Short, cylindrical body, triangular head, prominent eyes. Marbled reddish colour, a series of white blotches along the lower sides. 5 cm.
Many Synchiropus can be confused among them. S. bartelsi is quite similar to S. ocellatus, S. stellatus and S. moyeri, it is distinguished by the low dorsal fins, without any particular colour patterns. A row of white spots can be seen along the lower part of each side, adults can have small blue eyespots on the back.
