Rumphella

Scientific name : Rumphella


Bushy colonies, with very irregular branching. Thick branches, with blunt tip. Thick coenenchyme, retractile polyps. Beige or greenish colour. 1 m. Hicksonella princeps, Isis hippurus and can be confused. The former in particular has less smooth coenenchyme, the second is bright yellow.

Associated organisms
With symbiotic zooxanthellae.
